best method to use in therapy.
Part 1
I will embrace psychoanalysis as one of my best method to use in therapy. This theory is important since it will help patients with disorders with their emotions, thoughts, and behavior. Through it, the unconscious forces of patients will be understood better. Many patients are not ready to disclose whatever they are undergoing through; this has been a challenge to therapists since they cannot get the patient’s full details; hence, assessing becomes difficult. Through this method, patients will find themselves disclosing what they are undergoing through without shying off. This theoretical orientation can handle many psychological differences in today’s world, for example, sexual problems, relationship issues, self-destructive behavior, and emotional drama. Through this therapy, patients have chances of exploring freely since they are free to provide their submissions. Through this theory, patients can explore and understand their past life experiences, and it is the only theory that helps to tell what patients are avoiding to disclose. This is important since the therapist can determine the mechanism under which the patient avoids disclosing some things.
Part 2
- I need to do MORE of understanding: cognitive, physiological, emotional, and social determinants of behavior,
- I need to do LESS of ignoring and overlooking any signs of psychological disorders in individuals that are close to me
- I need to STOP judging individuals that have shown psychological disorders without assessing them to ascertain the cause of their conditions.
- I need to START a psychological club to address the students who may be having some psychological related disorders
- The most valuable lesson I learned this semester was that therapies are key in helping patients with psychological disorders. That no medication can substitute therapies.
