Charismatic leadership
Case Study 1
Question 1
Part A
The following are approaches that I will use to respond to unfair treatments.
Re-Tracking From the Negative Conclusions.
Being mistreated by a leader or an organization automatically makes one have different thoughts, leading them to make quick conclusions, which are always negative. To prolong the organization’s stay, I would re-track back and withdraw all the thoughts I might have had a fist. These thoughts may assume the boss’s or leaders’ intention of doing whatever he or she is doing to me. Therefore, the best thing I can do to mitigate the situation is to seek advice from the relevant person to guide me on what I should before taking any action.
Keeping a Record of Events
It happens that leaders mistreat me for several times. But keeping a record of all that has been taking place will be instrumental in making me informed of how to deal with situations as they come differently. Keeping records is crucial as it helps to learn the pattern of my leader at work and understand his or her behaviors.
Forgiveness
In as much as this might be a difficult step to make, sometimes it is important to forgive as this helps a great deal in building perseverance, and resilience at work, giving on the stamina to stand all the test of time. The study reveals that forgiveness actually makes one free of any burden in the heart, thereby making them feel free with anybody and everybody.
Having a conversation with the leader in-charge
It is possible that dialogue can be deployed in settling unfair treatments at work. However, it is essential to note that one should know the behaviors and personalities of the other party before engaging in this kind of serious talk.
Part B
I have come across an incident where employees retaliated against the poor leadership of the organization. As a matter of fact, they were teachers, and having failed to be paid their salaries for many months; they decided to sell everything that belonged to the school to pay themselves and walked away.
Case Study 2
Napoleon is a dark side leader. This follows a prove of traits that he exhibited. For instance, he was never associated with failure, interpersonal insensitive, impulsive, and a narcissist leader (Swid & Ragab, 2018). Napoleon was so charismatic because he was able to understand human behavior, their minds, and try to understand their strengths and weaknesses to defeat them. Furthermore, he had a higher level of creative writing because he was a bright young man. He wrote the first pamphlet of the national assembly. All he wanted was to infuse and inspire the action within his army, thereby motivating them so that they perform at maximum level as he expected them to.
Charismatic leadership can be used in more ordinary circumstances and organizations by encouraging other people to infuse certain behaviors that a leader may have using effective and articulate communication strategies and persuasion. As a matter of fact, charismatic leaders always want things done perfectly as they would like them done.
