Lesson Plan

Introduction

In this paper, are going to develop a lesson plan for cognitive development for infants who are aged between their time of birth and twelve months, toddlers who are between the age of twelve months and two years, and lastly, preschoolers who are aged between 3-4 years. This plan aims to engage children in exploration, discovery, and problem-solving activities. The lesson will focus on identifying materials and environments that will promote cognitive-developmental for those categories of children. This lesson’s individual needs will also be addressed (Mahapatra & Nayak, 2016). The children will be in a position to understand the world that is surrounding them. Clearly, we will also be able to learn about the developmental milestone for the children and what things can be done if a person is concerned about his child’s cognitive developmental process.

Conclusion

As we can see from the above lesson plans, the children are expected to have learned various skills at the end of it all; they would have known how to count, how to paint, and how to read their favorites stories. The teacher’s main work will be guiding the children and showing them what they are expected to learn or do; thereafter, a teacher will be able to know if the children have grasped the concept he has taught them or not (Amiliya & Harun, 2019). Cognitive prowess is supposed to be noticed as a child moves from being an infant, toddler, and preschooler.
