Alejandro explains that the idea behind Hawkers Co. was that he wanted to try something new, exciting, and modern. A friend suggested to him if he can venture into Hawkers, a Spanish online firm that sold sunglasses. It was the original Spanish firm to use social media ads and influencers. This excited him, and he decided to invest. Currently, they are the leading sunglass company in Spain.
Leopoldo Alejandro Betancourt Lopez every day writes down a to-do list of the tasks he has to achieve the next day such that he doesn’t forget. Going through the list gives him a sense of productivity. Therefore, he begins his day by going through the headlines mainly from newspapers from Europe, Venezuela, and the United States. Lopez then dedicates an hour of exercise, after which he does the phone calls. He has a list of daily calls he makes to directors and administrators of every firm to check on the tasks and deliberate the company’s plans and strategies. His workday ends with the last call, which is always around 10 pm.
