The theme of the film is the concept of civilization. In the film, civilization is presented to originate from one place and then spread all over the world. In part one, of the film, interactions of various civilizations led to transformations in the world of arts. The second part of the film covers Industrial Revolutions and its impact on the world.

What does the text have to do with you, personally, and with your life (past, present or future)?

The film shows how interactions led to transformations in the world and this closely related to past life experiences. When I joined high school, I had a negative attitude towards mathematics. Interactions with classmates in high school helped me change the perception I had towards mathematics.

How much does the text agree or clash with your view of the world, and what you consider right and wrong?

The text agrees with my view of the world to a big extent. I feel that technology is very important and educative. The film has a similar view of the world and states that “I think TV can be really special and its special media. It gave me my interest in art was watching a program when I was sixteen-year-old boy twelve February nine thirty-six about friend shot that first encouraged me to go…” (00:25:52). The world is changing, and technology is taking a central place. According to the text, “their way out television is going to kill radio the internet was going to kill the book and television well people now use the internet to read books much television” (00:27:59).

How did you learn, and how much were your views and opinions challenged or changed by this text, if at all?

The film is very educative. It shows us that we should embrace change. Transformations happen to us in a similar way as they happen in the society. The film is a reflection of society.
