I would join Students and Campus Community Development since right from high school I had the passion of participating in community projects. The services I would explore include career center to be able to learn how I will get job-search strategies, both entrepreneurial and required professional skills to help me in the future after Campus. The other facility is the Health and Counselling Center to be able to get regular checkups and tips on how to stay healthy. For instance “John P. Roberts Research Library” is usually opened from 8:30 am to 11 pm, the library also has a recording base and music students can record songs, it also has large print and braille materials for blind students.

According to (Vogt), an apprenticeship is a system of training of students on the job skills accompanies with some classwork and reading. It involves training a worker to become skilled in a specific field. Intermediary apprenticeship takes between twelve to eighteen months while the advanced level of apprenticeship takes between twenty-four to seventy-two hours. We have several skilled trades and technology, and I will only highlight five of them, and they include Electricians, plumbers, construction managers, plant operator, and Aircraft mechanics. In USA skilled tradespeople earn about $25 per hour and about $25,500 per year for entry levels, but those with advanced skills can get even up to $80,000 per year. There are numerous benefits of choosing a career path in skilled trades, and they include: there is job security, they get better pay and compensation package, there are plenty of jobs not like white collar jobs, it is easier to retain customers and bring a level of satisfaction to them (Vogt). The reason why Canadian workplaces have a shortage of skilled trade’s peoples is that the population there is focused on doing courses that meant to provide them with white collar jobs leaving a gap in the skilled labor market. The skilled workers are required in the field of pipefitting, oil and gas drilling, electricians, HV/AC mechanic, engineering field especially during the period when the demand or technical service is high.
