Fashion modeling
Fashion modeling displays current trends in clothes, beauty, and grooming using human subjects or the human form. At the same time, it is a profession that is sometimes featured in films and advertisements. Therefore, this paper’s discussion is based on fashion modeling categories, such as print, runway, and commercial modeling.
Runway or catwalk models are female models who exhibit clothes by walking in front of the audience along a narrow stage. They are usually hired by designers to fit the clothes they have made for marketing and advertisement. As a result, each runway model must have a precise measurement to fit the clothes that designers advertise to their customers. Their measurements around the bust are not above or less than 34 inches, around the waist is 23 inches and 34 inches around the hips.
Simultaneously, commercial models are all-around models who take part in everything, even those not related to fashion, including product advertisements and services such as food, trade shows, and housewares. They can be any age, size, and height because they are required for various functions.
Besides, print models are used for different publications such as magazines, billboards, posters, calendars, and booklets. They must have an attractive face, nice body, good complexion, and a pretty smile. They always find their job through a modeling agency or by freelance modeling. For this reason, print modeling provides a more reachable scope for individuals who are not in a position to take the high-fashion runway journey.
In conclusion, fashion modeling is one of the most critical profession for designers who are willing to advertise their products through the runway models, commercial, and print models. Through advertisements and marketing, they can sell their products and services easily. At the same time, it considers individuals the way they are, for example, in the commercial model, the requirements are minimal, and anybody has the opportunity.
