In the modern-day, innovation and deployment of technology is the norm to be adapted to maximize profit and sustain developing complexities. The third form of acceleration is the pace of life that involves culture. This has been a major characteristic of capitalism. With the increased speed of life, it is controversial that time is scarce.

This depicts the relationship between technology and humans in society. The interdependence between technology determines the pace of life in society. With increased adaptation to fast technology to save time, there is a realization of new realms. According to Rosa, the acceleration is self-propelling, where individuals are never contented. There is a more and more increased need for faster and more advanced technology. The adoption criteria, according to the writer, is dependent on the biographies and collective history. Understanding the impact of time speed in the past may help us define profound time-driven variances.
