Reflection on Achievement of Outcomes

This class has offered a variety of policy and legislation information and the influence that nurses will have on promoting progress within society. Within a limited population, a small shift may have a significant effect on health results. Inaccessibility of health care services is a significant challenge, and the essay addresses the issue of health care services accessibility as a factor of the insurance coverage. Lack of health care is a public health challenge that raises multiple health concerns on a global level (Berwick et al., 2018). Implementing a universal health care coverage system helps everybody receive care targeting the most critical factors of sickness and death and ensuring that the standard of such care is adequately adequate to increase the welfare of the individuals accessing them (Universal health coverage (UHC), 2019).

Safeguarding persons from the financial implications of spending out of their wallets for health care eliminates the likelihood of driving persons into hardship when sudden diagnosis causes them to use their pension money, sell belongings, or mortgage, damaging their lives as well as those of their families.

For several countries, health care access is one of the leading causes of mortality, and it may be related to many severe health problems. Advances have been adopted in strategy and preparation, policy direction and activism, staff preparation, and monitoring, according to Berwick et al. (2018). However, more remains to be accomplished to solve this global problem correctly. For every government, the road to successfully implementing universal health care would be unique, although current levers may be utilized to promote and improve efficiency covering nearly every framework. Popular levers include financial structures (including qualification, institutional recruitment, as well as success compensation schemes), regulations related (including greater transparency and a firm dedication to engaging consumers and stakeholders in the planning and administration of health systems), and professional frameworks (including the funding for care interventions, exposure to health literacy, and preparation of the employees).

As an advanced practice nurse (ANP), to support better clinical results for my patients, I should review the most current practices and analyze evidence-based studies. For the promotion of quality practices, participating in a study, training opportunities, and continued education is essential in advocacy for health care services access.  As I continue to study and engage in my next profession during this curriculum, I must keep up-to-date with the new studies, legislation, and regulatory compliance to obtain the best perspective from my preceptor. In so doing, I will be better equipped to campaign for the better health care coverage of my patient. It is crucial that I recognize the possibilities for change and participate in decision development to improve healthcare services when health conditions occur and I face obstacles inside the healthcare framework. Via this class, this process of participating in policy decisions has changed my perception to the potential to make incremental improvements that can have a huge effect on my culture. I was fascinated during the onset of this class by the philosophy of decision making and making a positive difference inside my culture, and I was delighted by the supportive reaction of my representative to policy change proposals.
