A human brain is complex and dynamic; every person has a unique way of understanding and interpreting situations. It has proven to be difficult to understand the changes that occur in the human mind. As we grow the brain also develops; this is as a result of the activities that we do, see and hear. Education acts as a platform for brain growth and development. The different stages in the educational system right from kindergarten to the university level builds up the mind of an individual to be able to analyze and evaluate situations and act accordingly. Therefore, a child’s brain needs to be understood on how it works and the criteria to use for them to learn for cognitive development.
Neuroscience is the new direction that is taken in imparting knowledge among kids. This new method of learning involves understanding how every individual’s mind is designed. Some children are good and can grasp any information at an instant while some may take longer to grasp the same idea (Banich, 2018). Neuroscience enables a person to understand this variation and responding to it effectively to facilitate learning across the board. Technology has a big part to play in this, coming up with a user friendly tech to making it more interactive to ensure learning; therefore, a child growing can easily comprehend what is being taught without any difficulties.
Sternberg’s theory is about analytical, creative and a practical aspect of the brain. One has to balance all these to have success in life (Berk, 2018). The argument goes in line with Neuroscience, and technology since it involves studying the human mind and coming up with more effective teaching methods tailored for every child to learn effectively. It is identifying the problem, coming up with multiple ways of teaching and implementing it on the child. According to Berk, multiple intelligence theory is about a set of operations that are different among people. Identifying the pattern a child is displaying, and selecting an effective method to use to impart knowledge and develop their minds. The theories suggest that the memory of each is different and has to be understood in its unique way. Neuroscience is the right direction to take for cognitive development.
The human mind is always growing and developing; we are different on how we interpret the situation or information given to us. But still, we deserve to have a level ground for learning. Neuroscience is the best form of teaching that will provide the leveled ground for education. No more will be the case of concentrating on the stronger students and leaving out the weaker students and having given a chance and opportunity to every person to expand their knowledge.
