Change Process
The change process is one of the ways to achieve success in any organization. For change to happen, it should always start with the top management, involve other organization members, and then make it that given change formal and official. Whenever the organizational result is not expected, it is always essential to engage in a change process until the desired result is achieved.
The knowledge and skill of systematically addressing the human side through communication are always crucial in the change process. This knowledge involves communicating the organizational goals to the employees to pull in the same direction. Communication skills have significantly impacted my organization positively; as the program coordinator, I have always assigned tasks clearly to my fellow employees, thereby eliminating the chances of confusion in terms and responsibilities (Notaras et al., 2020). Again, through communication skills learned from the change process, my organization has been able to achieve its goals since the employees are always updated with the organization goals, and individual roles and responsibility (Notaras et al., 2020)
Assessment of the organizational culture, after clear communication of the organizational goals, evaluation of the organization culture follows. This involves setting the codes of conduct and values in the organization to achieve the set goal (Maamari & Saheb, 2018). As one of the executives in my organization, I have contributed to establishing and changing the organizational culture. The corporate culture, such as integrity, professionalism, accountability, and gender equality, has contributed significantly to my organization’s success. Integrity has helped my employees work under little supervision, especially when handling customers; we have gained customers trustworthy. Based on our ethical standards, professionalism has helped us produce the right quality products for the clients. In contrast, accountability has kept my employees on toes and disciplined in their tasks within the organization. Gender equality has ensured the social responsibility of gender fairness, making the organization reputable, thus gained more respect and love from society.
Educating the employees on the importance of these cultural values follows; it involves training to the employees to help them offer the required services and fulfill their roles and responsibility as expected (Fiaz & Saqib, 2017). Through my employees’ training, I have been able to attain high results; training also involves mentorship, which helps them stay motivated and focused on their tasks. Speaking to them in this process also enables them to open up on the issues disturbing them mentally, which can hinder them from producing the needed results. The change process’s last step is reviewing the implemented ideas, including value, culture, and responsibility. This review is crucial since it let the organization know whether it has reached its goal or not. Through the review of the whole process, I have learned the art of auditing, which has boosted my organization since my employees are aware that they will be responsible for any poor result. This is possible due to the developed employee appraisal scheme that I made as from skills learned from the change process.
The change process is vital for the success of an organization. It involves the communication of the organization’s goals and development of the organizational culture. It also entails interacting with the employees, mentoring and motivating them, and reviewing the process, whether the desired results are attained.
