Individual characters often get affected either positively or negatively by encounters with God. An Individual’s character behaviors and actions are much reflected after such encounters. Noah’s encounter with God changed his actions and behaviors. As for Medea, nothing changed her behaviors and actions even after being helped by her grandfather, the Sun God Helios. These encounters have a long-lasting impact on the actions and behaviors of the individual characters.
When God met Noah, he commanded him to construct an ark from which he would save him and his family from the floods. This encounter changed Noah’s actions and behaviors, responding immediately to constructing the ark as God directed him. Though he appealed to the people to lend a helping hand, they ignored him, and they could see any sense in his quest. They believed that there were tall trees, hills, and mountains from where they would take refuge from the raging floods. However, Noah constructed the ark did all that was directed to him by God. When the floods came, eventually, the whole world was destroyed, but Noah and his family were spared.
Medea had a direct lineage to her grandfather, the Sun God Helios. She married Jason after several expeditions with him, in which Jason won. Jason later married another wife, Glauce. Medea was furious to the extent of killing all his sons, Glauce and her family, angering Jason, and she had to flee. Her grandfather sent out chariots for her rescue. The help by her grandfather, her turn, made Medea help Heracles by healing him from a curse Hera had inflicted on him. The behaviors and actions of Medea were never affected by the encounter between herself and her grandfather Helios. Instead, her woes continued to the second marriage, which eventually left with several versions giving a different account of where she went afterward.
