Covid struggles.
Since the outbreak of the covid19 pandemic in December 2019, most countries have been faced with social and economic challenges due to the interruption of daily activities that are revenue generating.
Research shows that most of the vulnerable groups in the community are likely to face food insecurity. This is because even before the pandemic, over a 100million people globally were experiencing food shortage due to other existing various factors such as crisis, .which means there were less prepared to deal with the pandemic. The situation is anticipated to worsen if people living in rural areas get sick or affected by covid19. This is because they will lose the ability to engage in agricultural activities such as fishing, pastoralism, and land activities that they depend on in food production. They are also likely to have a financial crisis since their primary sources of income will not be producing any revenue due to low produce and limited market access due to traveling rules implemented in the fight against the virus. Also, there is a risk of losing a livelihood. The situation may force them to sell their animals and consume all their farm, producing them with nothing to plant the next season, thus worsening the situation.
