Teodor Currentzis is an artist and the director of an Opera group known as the Perm Theatre Opera and Ballet whose main aim and ambition is to be able to make the classical music relevant and understandable in the current error. He is a risk-taker and a non-conformer who does not go by the routine and the standard ritual. He was able to shape his career in music free from the existing constraints in the classical music industry but according to his values. His music is full of imagination which takes a different direction, transcendence, and authenticity.
Teodor Currentzi’s composition of classical music has completely changed people’s perception of it. Classical music had become complacent and lazy and he has given it a new life through his compositions that seem to come deep down from his heart. The messages passed in the composition and performance through intricate plots bear important and powerful messages on humanity, the nature of love, and the capacity for forgiveness. His works are so affirming and life-changing. The approach in his music is groundbreaking; from the use of strings, quality of singing, the humor, romanticism through the smooth transition from classism, the melody, and the presence of the sound is so surreal that makes the audience feel like they are part of the performance.
In his performance, Teodor Currentzis is a composer who can reimagine music that was set down on paper, hundreds of years earlier and he can present the music to the audience in the present day, in the most profound way that can shake the foundations of reality. He has a work ethic that pays attention to detail, where he brings out a different performance to a piece of music. The Musica Aeterna is composed of the very best musicians, whose composition and performance is beyond the limit. The speed limits in Teodor Currentzis would be considered unplayable, incorporated with unique music vocals. Teodore’s classical composition brings beauty and a window to a wonderful world, and an understanding of one’s self which is profound and filled with meaning.
