Man Harasses Minors For Skating at Local Church in Utah
It seemed a beautiful day, and a teenager named Bodie in his friends’ company decided to go skating at a local church. Unfortunately, an old couple wasn’t happy with Bodie skating around the church. According to the older man, the kids weren’t supposed to slide around because the church is private property. But the teenagers were not happy about the older adult’s remarks, and a confrontation started.
According to the kids, the older man attacked them, and it’s against the law to do so. Bodie was quick to let him know that, but the older man’s response was offensive. He called them names, and the teenagers were not happy. It resulted in the kids calling him names, and the confrontation between the two parties escalated.
The other older woman could not take it any longer and interrupted them by telling them to stop. She suggested that the teenagers leave immediately, but they were quick to point to her that they didn’t have to unless there’s a complication. But the lady insisted that they had to leave.
The teenagers were not in agreement with her suggestion and went ahead to ask her if she owned the property. The woman answered yes, and the older man intervened by also asking the boys whether the property belonged to them. The kids even suggested to the older man to call the cops. The man responded by asking the boy to give him his skateboard to do whatever he wanted with it if they think it’s okay to interfere with other people’s property.
Bodie was quick to say that him giving the man his skateboard to do as he pleases is not the same as him and the friends skating around the church. The man was trying to illustrate to the boys that you cannot do what you want with other people’s property without permission. The teenagers reputed his example, and the man claimed that if they cannot figure it out, they are the most damn generation of our time!
One of the boys accused the man of hitting one of them, a minor, and got backed up by the rest. The man denied and said the boy in question started the confrontation. The rest were quick to inform the man to call the police. One of the boys told Bodie to continue skating, but the man prevented him and shouted close to his face, “what are you gonna do?”. The boy saw it as a joke and claimed the man was too close to his face that he kissed him.
According to the boys, they were not ready to take orders from him. They regarded him as a man on steroids. One of the teenagers continued pressing Bodie to skate, but the lady intervened. She said that he could not skate there, and the man supported her by calling the boys bad names. He urged them to call the police, but the boys declined and told the couple to go ahead if they wanted to.
The boys accused the man of attacking and pushing them, but he denied. According to one of the boys, the man screamed directly on to Bodie’s face and pushed him. The older man declined, and the boys were quick to demonstrate to him how he harassed Bodie. They requested him to go home and not worry as they were not going to damage any property. They aimed to have fun. One of the boys called the old lady a bitch, and she became furious at them. She insisted to the boys that it was time for them to leave. The woman even requested one of the boy’s mother to ask them to leave, but she declined.
