War significantly affects the cultural identities of individuals victimized by events of the war. In the case of conflicts and violence, cultural dynamics are gravely endangered. War initiates a cascade of events that result in the loss or alterations of cultural identity. For instance, war halts trade and business activities. Therefore, it cripples the economy of the country or society that hosts the war. Living standards increased, and people may opt to migrate. Additionally, safety is unguaranteed in places of war and violence. Therefore, many families often fear for their lives and safety. As a result, most families always resort to migrating to war-free areas. In search of safety and a better future, these families migrate and carry their cultural beliefs and identity with them. However, in this process, their culture is equally altered. The altering comes about due to the interactions of the migrants with the people they find in their new settlements. This then results in the loss of cultural identity.

The extraordinary measures performed on Lia was more helpful because they helped neutralize his worse conditions of seizure, and she calmed down after that. Moreover, the doctors could finally get the chance to perform the recommended teste on him, after which they could use the test to determine what was happening to Lia. It may have seemed unnecessary based on the fact that he had the same experience regularly. Although many may argue that Lia was obviously in critical conditions and that nothing would have been done to save him, the pain of not trying is inhuman. Additionally, the actual tests performed on her blood alongside other vital samples from his body, significantly helped the medical practitioners determine the actual disposition he was in, alongside the possibility of his treatment. Despite the sad outcomes or results obtained from the tests, he was alive and needed to be saved. Therefore, in his situation, the extraordinary measures were neither helpful nor harmful to Lia.

Immigrants bring crime and violence to our cities and towns.

Many people question the validity of this statement. Is it a myth or a fact? Well, many people in the united states believe that this statement is true when, on the contrary, it is not. The myth stating that immigrants bring crime and violence to our towns and cities has raised concerns, which have resulted in the conducting of research studies. A study found that the myth of the criminal immigrant only exists in the minds and imaginations of the American citizens (Anna, 2018). This is to say that all studies conducted concerning the relationship of immigrants to crimes have failed to show a significant correlation between the crimes in the US and immigrants.

According to the polls conducted by Gallup, many Americans believe in the myth that ties crimes to immigrants. As stated before, many studies prove otherwise. The immigrant population has grown fast and steady over the past few decades. On the contrary, the crime rates in the United States of America has significantly gone in the opposite direction (Anna, 2018).

According to a statistical graph representing the rate of change in immigrants’ populations in the United States alongside the shift in crime rates between 1980 to 2016, the increasing number of immigrant populations has no significant relation to the increase in crime rates in the United States. Since 1980 to 2016, the number of immigrants in the US has increased by one hundred and eighteen per cent while the crime rates significantly decreased by thirty per cent over the same duration (Anna, 2018).

From this information, it is only possible that an increase in an immigrant population helps reduce crime in cities and towns, or there is no significant relation of crime to immigrants. Therefore, the myth about immigrants bringing crime in our cities and towns is not valid.
