Career research paper
The significant advantage of research is the ability to create a career goal. Once enough information on the career is collected, one can quickly point out jobs within the profession an individual wants to pursue. Research allows an individual to see how other people have risen in a similar career path and the steps to learn to grow from their mistakes. Other careers take various choices in the implementation of daily activities and it is therefore quite significant to know the career’s daily activities through research.
The top career that I am most interested in is Electrical, to be specific, installation of Solar Photovoltaics or solar technician. There are many contributing factors to this choice, but my father is my biggest inspiration. Being an electrician, I would get a bit involved in his projects, and it would be quite an exciting experience. The career choice is in the engineering and technology field and my sciences are doing quite well. Amongst the skills required is listening and problem-solving ability. I am a good listener and with some help, I can come up with reasonable solutions to solve various problems. Cooperation, integrity, self-control, and dependability are among the personality requirements I meet and my knowledge of software such as Microsoft Excel is excellent. Another reason for this choice is the aspect of environmental conservation that comes with solar energy. It is also a high paying career with an estimated $31,600 to $63,880 (O*NET OnLine).
A computer system analyst is another career I would love to venture into. It is also in the engineering and technology field and my academic performance meets the requirements. Like the electrical, listening and problem-solving skills are crucial for this career, which I possess and can be polished with experience. The abilities to solve Math problems, attention to errors and understanding are essential in this career and I have all these abilities. I am inspired by the fact that one can become self-employed with such a career path. I have a good mastery of software even when introduced to new software, and I quickly catch up. The salary is also a good inspiration, with a $55,189 – $147,670 range (O*NET OnLine).
My final career choice is accountancy. I am a great fan of Mathematics and what better place to apply it in real life than in the accountancy field. Listening, problem solving and technology conversancy are some of the required skills which I possess and some I can nurture with time. The ability to communicate, perform math calculations, and develop ideas are some of the needed capabilities. I own them all, even though I am still working on my communication skills. I enjoy checking and keeping records, which makes this job suitable for me if the first two will not be available. The pay is also good, ranging from $44,480 to $124,450, which is quite the inspiration (O*NET OnLine).
