Self-construal is also an essential aspect of contextual factor as it explains how people relate with one another. There is an existence of interdependent self-construal which favours collectivism culture which protects the aspect of social harmony and togetherness. Feminism and masculinism also have played a significant role in the issue of mental disorders as it is associated with shyness and aggression of both genders.

Women are on a higher risk of mental disorder as have more exposed to dangers like deformation of the body, shyness and lack confidence and leads to more exposure to social anxiety illness.
