PERSONEL AND ORGANIZATION POLICY
It is no doubt that human needs increase every day. Keeping up with the competition is a common challenge faced by every individual. The principle behind Maslow’s theory is that, before proceeding to a higher level, the lowest commodity in the hierarchy is ought to be satisfied first. For instance, in a real-life situation, Maslow’s theory can be demonstrated on the basis of acceptance and creativity. In as much as we strive to live luxurious lives, we must understand that the purpose of life is not making about money but realizing our full potential. This is called self-actualization. How people achieve this feeling varies from person to person. For example, one person can achieve self-actualization by working with IBM while another person achieves it by teaching chemistry in high school. Be it becoming an actor or an artist, it is all about achieving our full potential and exercising our creativity. Maslow’s theory of needs is crucial as it caters to the fulfillment of both intra-personal and inter-personal differences in human behavior. However, despite its appreciation, it has been criticized because the managers may not know the psychological needs of an individual and this might compromise the potential of their output.
The guidelines governing the frameworks of performance measurement is revolved around the concepts of output and utilization of resources. The fundamental that measures the performance of an organization is interlinked in financial performance, market performance, and shareholder returns. All these three specific areas cover business operations such as profits, total sales, and total shareholder return. Self-assessment is an important component of employee objectivity. It provides an opportunity for employees to exercise self-promotion and a chance to play an important role in evaluating their performance goals. With self-assessment skills, I am provided with an opportunity to explore my aptitude and capabilities and also share them with my counterparts in order to achieve a common professional call.
Everyone feels great pleasure when they are appreciated for the good work done. Recognition for the job done well by the upper management means a lot to an employee. The acknowledgment of employees’ achievement is the easiest thing a manager can do to an employee. Rewarding an employee with simple incentives helps a great deal in boosting their attitude towards work. The kind of motivation does not necessarily need to be money but simple regards like a day off and a reserved parking lot.
