Measures of Central Tendency
The best time to use mean, mode or median in an organization is when the organization is suffering from an issue that has a high frequency or statistical. For example, when an organization has employees who do not hold the same position, it is important to use the method to identify the mean number of the employees who are likely to hold a certain position. Looking for the mean value becomes important in an organization because it helps to know if there is equal support for a certain agenda or position within an organization. However, it is important to note that the aspect of statistical data is fundamental. It is by only utilizing statistical data that one can calculate the mean, mode, and median. Also, when there is an issue that is affecting the commitment of employees to an organization, it is important to use the measures of tendency. Knowing the tendency of behavior in an organization can help the organization to connect the problem with a leading factor. For example, if there is a tendency of employees complaining a lot when a specific supervisor is on shift, an organization can link to the problem of employees’ complaints with the supervisor.
