The Pervasiveness of Rock Music

Rock and roll are regarded as a genre of some popular music that managed to originate and its evolution was in the USA during the 40s and 50s. In its wake, it grew from such styles as the gospel, the blues, jazz which was famous with Michael Jackson, boogie-woogie, country music, and finally the jump blues and rhythm. In as much as the genre has been in existence for ages, it has been able to expand through the years. In this regard, from the 40s and 50s which many have been familiar with for a couple of years, it has been able to expand into the 60s where it has taken a new name “Rock Music” (Reynolds & Press, 1996).

If the rock and roll would not have been a hit in American society and particularly in American culture, then the best of songs and music related to the genre “rock and roll” would not be a reality. The inspiration brought to the band that made the best of music related to the genre would not be in existence. In this line, therefore, we also point out the fact that the existence of the band to bring out such creativity would not be in existence. In a nutshell, the whole aspect of the rock and roll scenario would be obliterated.

Secondly,  there would not be an aspect whereby there is the advertisement of the genre through shirts and all advertisement capabilities such as caps and even handkerchiefs which prove a competent aspect in the level of advertisement when it comes to rock and roll. In this aspect, therefore, it should be noted that the situation of delivering a worthy advertisement is imminent in all aspects. In addition to this, it should be taken that advertisement is an expensive scenario and therefore the use of the mentioned things should be worthy as the quality is beneficial in all areas of business, most importantly in the music world (Poncz et al., 2014).

Thirdly, we have the scenario whereby the guitar center will not be flocking with people as it is well established, people in rock and roll are known to be good at playing guitars. Apart from the guitar center which makes individuals cash out a lot of money, there are some minute stores whereby people can make use of the cheap guitars available in stock. In a nutshell, we can say that the rock and roll abscess will make sure that the purchasing of guitars will be on the down-low as the other genres will not be capable of handling the activity of purchasing the best of guitars. Guitars are important in the making of a variety of music aspects and therefore, rock and roll is a genre where the guitar is a vital instrument (Waksman, 2003).

As much as we can talk about the absence of rock and roll, we need to talk about the positive impacts that the genre brings to society. To begin with, we have the aspect of monetary gain. The production of music enables people to make money. In this regard, it has been able to make sure that people are well off as there is the giving of royalties and other bonuses when a song is played. Secondly, we have the aspect of being famous. When a rock and roll song is produced, if it is a big hit, the artist is able to be a celebrity in his own right. Through this celebrity status, the individual is able to leverage the power of social media whereby numerous companies can be able to pay him or her so that their products and services can be promoted. Thirdly,  rock and roll have made sure that people gain respect in society. It should be noted that a number of people in America who are singing rock and roll have not got the opportunity to go to university. In regard to this, the making of a song in this genre has made sure that people gain intellectual respect. Fourthly, it has been able to make people educated on a technological level. Many people who have produced songs have been able to know a number of technological aspects. Finally, people in American society have been able to connect with society. This has been through the understanding of culture and community aspects (Gazel & Schwer, 1997).

Apart from the positive aspects, there are negative impacts that rock and roll have brought about in American society. Firstly, there is the introduction of persons to pornography and obscene language. In the creation of the song, most of the songs produced have been seen to show an obscene culture whereby the message being relayed has not been worthy of mention. Secondly, the acquisition of money from the songs through royalties has resulted in some people getting into drugs (Waylen & Wolke, 2004). This is because of the nature of them not being familiar with the management of a lot of money. Thirdly, rock and roll have been used as a devil-worshipping front from a majority of teenagers. This has brought a number of commotion in all areas perfect. Fourthly, we have rock and roll being regarded as a song for the young whereby a number of older people have not been interested in the songs and this has caused a spiral in how the songs have been regarded worldwide. Finally, rock and roll have been used as a way for young people to be relevant and this has caused a rift between the young and the old.
