My name is Sarah Stevens, a graduate of Mounds-view High School in Minneapolis. Over time, I have considered myself a student above average in terms of my school performance. Having been a person who thrives under different circumstances, I know that adapting to a different situation cannot be a daunting task. Thus, there will be little time required to adjust to the new environment if I am admitted to the institution. From the onset, there have been numerous changes that I have been facing in my life which have helped in shaping how I view life today. First, my father left my mom before my birth. He moved to the United States, leaving my mother behind in Liberia seven months pregnant. Later, my parents divorced when I was eight years old. Thus, he was not present in my childhood. The only interactions that I had with him were over the phone, which was not adequate. The only memory I had of him was that of his voice. However, I managed to triumph in difficult circumstances and was one of the best students in my school back in Liberia.
My family moved to the United States two years ago, where I joined Mounds-View High School in Minneapolis. I enrolled at Grade eleven.
