Reports released by the World Health Organization in 2019 revealed that the maternal mortality rate was about twenty-seven per every one hundred thousand childbirths. Most of the maternal deaths are influenced by circumstances which can be prevented by abortion. These facts have fostered many debates between the pro-choice supporters and the pro-life supporters.

Therefore, this article explains the circumstances where abortion should be the best stance. These instances may include; health-related reasons, unplanned pregnancies, and financial instability.

Pro-choice supporters argue that every individual is entitled to the fundamental basic right of whether and when to have children. Pro-choice activists believe that abortion can be an option for unplanned pregnancy even though they cannot abort themselves.
Heath Related Reasons.
- Most parents want a better life for babies. Some of the babies are conceived with abnormalities and longtime suffering. Therefore, instead of delivering a child who has an intensive health problems, and significant physical defects, it is advisable to terminate the life of the fetus at the early stages before the child is born.
- Besides, the life of the mother may be at risk if her health conditions are critical. To avoid compromising her life, it is advisable to foster a procedural abortion to prevent the death of the parent.

- Consequently, unplanned pregnancies are influenced by rape, which is the leading cause of abortion in the world. - Besides, it is essential to focus on the need of the other children. According to Joffe et al. (2004), during the last trimester of pregnancy, women require extensive rest. If the woman is the sole provider and has other children to take care of, she should take pro-choice as the best stance.
